In recent times, many young people have been lining up to take photos at a wall of a cafe in Au Trieu, Hanoi. The wall itself is quite old, with nothing special except for a graffiti painting of the letters “SW” in red and black colors, along with a few plastic chairs. However, after a Tiktok video went viral, this wall quickly became the most sought-after photo spot in Hanoi.
Trang Ngan (27 years old, Ho Chi Minh City), a Tiktok user with over 100,000 followers, changed her entire 3-day trip to the North because of this wall’s popularity on social media.
Similarly, Ngoc Linh (22 years old, Hanoi) had to line up from 7 am until past 8 am just to take a photo. The wall has been there for a while, serving as a photo spot, but not many people knew about it before. Located at the Leninn cafe, the wall is part of the graffiti art that creates a street-style space. The cafe provides simple plastic chairs for customers to sit and enjoy their coffee.
Over the past week, the cafe has unexpectedly become crowded, welcoming hundreds of guests every day, doubling or tripling the usual number. Many young people come only to buy a cup of coffee and then line up to take photos outside instead of sitting inside.
Due to the large crowds at the location, the local police regularly patrol the area, reminding people to strictly follow the regulations on order and traffic safety.
