On 4/3, the People’s Procuracy of Gia Lai province issued an indictment against the store manager and 2 accountants of a company specializing in selling motorcycles in Chư Sê district, Gia Lai, on the charge of embezzlement of property, with the value of the property being over 1 billion VND.
According to the indictment, Duc Dung Chư Sê Co., Ltd., located in Chư Sê town, Chư Sê district, is engaged in the business of buying, selling, repairing motorcycles, and motorcycle parts.
From 21/4/2019 to 20/10/2021, Duc Dung Chư Sê Co., Ltd. purchased 79 Honda motorcycles from Honda Vietnam Company.
During the delivery of the motorcycles, Phan Hùng Thắng (born in 1976, residing in Ia Blang commune, Chư Sê district, holding the position of store manager) and Trần Thị Thắm (born in 1990, residing in Chư Sê town, holding the position of sales accountant) signed confirmation on each delivery note.
After receiving the motorcycles, the staff would store them in the company’s warehouse, which was directly managed by Phan Hùng Thắng.
In his capacity as store manager, Phan Hùng Thắng directly appropriated and instructed Võ Thị Văn Chương (born in 1986, residing in Chư Sê town, Chư Sê district, holding the position of accountant) and Trần Thị Thắm to issue invoices for the sale of 26 motorcycles but did not return the money to the company, embezzling a total amount of over 1 billion VND.
