Is the Price of Gasoline Rising Again?

According to interviews with Dân trí reporters, leaders of some oil companies have stated that recently, the average gasoline price in the Singapore market has been increasing compared to the previous period. The increase is said to be not too significant.

Based on global price trends, businesses predict that in the next operational period on February 29, E5 RON 92 gasoline in the country may increase by 200-300 VND per liter, while RON 95 gasoline may increase by 250-350 VND per liter. On the other hand, the price of diesel is forecasted to decrease by 50-100 VND per liter.

If the above forecast is accurate, gasoline prices will likely rise again after the second decrease in 2024. If the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance intervene to stabilize the fund, the price of gasoline may increase less or even remain the same.

In the most recent operational period on February 22, the management agency decided to reduce the price by 356 VND per liter for E5 RON 92 gasoline, down to 22.475 VND per liter; and by 320 VND per liter for RON 95 gasoline, down to 23.599 VND per liter.
