The trend of playing with fruit branches has been favored by many women in recent years. As a flower and plant lover, Mrs. Ha Pham (in Cau Giay district, Hanoi) always seeks out beautiful, unique, and rare flowers and fruits to decorate her home.
Recently, Mrs. Ha Pham shared photos of a purple coconut vase she painstakingly brought home on social media. The post attracted more than 12,000 likes and many compliments.
Sharing with Dan Tri, Mrs. Ha said that traditional coconuts are green, grown in many places, and produce a lot of fruit. However, this purple coconut variety is still quite rare, grown sporadically in a few places, bearing little fruit and having a relatively high price.
In 2021, Mrs. Ha coincidentally learned that a colleague from her office had a acquaintance at La Hien coconut farm (Vo Nhai, Thai Nguyen). This person has a farm growing coconuts and owns some purple coconut trees.
As a lover of arranging fruit branches, Mrs. Ha contacted to order some purple coconut branches to experience.
However, by that time, the purple coconut trees were already fruitless, so Mrs. Ha could only wait until the following year. One day in early August 2022, knowing that the acquaintance was going to the coconut garden, she asked them to bring a few branches back for her to arrange.
“Although the coconut variety is very rare, the owner of the garden was willing to give me a fairly large branch. He carefully selected and then used a saw to cut the branch.
My younger sibling then had to sit and hold the coconut branch for nearly 2 hours in the car to transport it from Thai Nguyen to Hanoi. The coconuts are quite heavy, so if not careful, they could easily break or fall,” Mrs. Ha said.
With the purple coconut branch she had been waiting for for over a year, Mrs. Ha meticulously cut each leaf, each excess branch to create the shape. She trimmed the leaves to create a canopy and placed it under the statue of an elderly couple sitting and playing music together to create a sense of peace and warmth for onlookers.
After completing the coconut vase, it looked beautiful and received many compliments. Mrs. Ha sent the photos back to the garden owner, who was quite surprised. She did not expect that the coconut branch she cut in the morning could look so artistic.
“I want to create a different beauty from fruits that are typically thought to be for eating. Through this, I also want to introduce a unique fruit that is being carefully cultivated by farmers,” Mrs. Ha said.
After Mrs. Ha shared photos of the purple coconut vases online, many women expressed their desire to own a beautiful vase like that one.
However, because purple coconuts are currently not a common fruit, it is not easy to buy branches like those.
Mrs. Ha shared that she herself loves plants and nature, and there are almost always fresh flowers in her home. Every time she goes back to her hometown or goes out, Mrs. Ha usually brings a few vases of flowers with her. She posts a photo of beautiful flowers or fruit branches wherever she goes. Sometimes, she painstakingly transports various branches home to display.
