Using the right brake is a natural reflex in unexpected situations because most people are right-handed. However, if that action poses a high risk of accidents, the habit of braking with both brakes simultaneously should be practiced.

In scooters, the front brake system is usually a disc brake, while the rear is a drum brake. The braking force and distance of these two types differ, combined with the weight of the bike shifting to the back, so suddenly braking the front brake is very dangerous, especially in wet and slippery road conditions.

Scooter users should develop the habit of using both brakes in all situations with the right brake force to avoid “braking to death,” which can cause slipping and the bike being thrown due to the large inertial force.
