The task force then drew up a report for the male driver’s violation of obstructing law enforcement officers, impounded the vehicle, and had witnesses sign the report.
About 30 minutes later, a woman named C.T.T.L. (born in 1975, residing in Binh Tan District) was riding a motorbike on Tong Van Tran street and was also checked by the traffic police, revealing an alcohol level of 0.544mg/litre of breath.
Ms. L. was fined 7 million VND, had her driver’s license revoked for 23 months, and her vehicle impounded for 7 days.
The same day, representatives from the Ho Chi Minh City Police Advisory Office stated that in February alone, the city’s traffic police discovered 15,875 cases of drivers violating alcohol levels and 5,459 cases of speeding violations.
