A Japanese-style detached villa situated on a 500m2 plot of land in the village of Quyt, Yen Bai, Ba Vi, about 45 minutes by car from the center of Hanoi, is the “escape from the city to the countryside” space of a young family.
The homeowners hope that this will be a peaceful home, where they can wake up to the sound of chirping birds, breathe the fresh mountain air, grow vegetables, tend flowers, and reunite with family…
According to the architect’s sharing, the house has a very impressive location: in front of the house faces straight towards the Ba Vi mountain range, with drifting clouds, looking down below are the “straight-winged heron” rice fields.
After studying the terrain of the land and the desire of the homeowners, the group of architects decided to design the house in a traditional Japanese style, with anti-column concrete. All technical equipment, electrical – water lines, air conditioning units are “hidden” under the floor, making the house beautiful, neat, harmonious with nature.
The house uses a lot of wooden furniture, prioritizes sliding door systems – typical of Japanese-style buildings.
Sliding doors combined with heat-reflective glass help the space always be filled with natural light but not too hot, limiting noise. The group of architects also used a new construction material – aerated concrete to make the house cool in summer and warm in winter.
