This unique designed house is located in Ngu Hanh Son district, Da Nang on a 105m2 piece of land.
The owners, a young couple with modern ideas, both work in offices and seek a spacious and relaxing living space to unwind and relieve stress.
Understanding the needs of the homeowners, architect Le Quang Trung and his team proposed a unique house design incorporating innovative and unconventional elements.
The highlight of the house is the lam façade resembling the branches of a spreading ancient tree. The homeowners were excited about this idea and immediately agreed to it.
The architect revealed that the biggest challenge in designing the structure was the lam system. The large lam structure required precise craftsmanship to ensure aesthetic appeal. Additionally, the installation process had to be extremely careful, requiring the use of cranes to move the lam elements.
Instead of using common awning structures, the architect designed a powder-coated steel roof for the second and third floors with unique shapes and details.
The lam structure not only adds a unique and eye-catching look but also serves the function of shading the house from the west sun and welcoming natural breeze.
The house also boasts a lush greenery system covering the exterior with various plantings. The interior design of the house is modern and minimalist.
The predominantly bright white color scheme creates a spacious and airy atmosphere. The décor features clean, straight, and angular lines, enhancing visual aesthetics and ensuring a tidy and beautiful living space.
The main bedroom is designed in a Japanese style with elevated wooden platforms and mattresses replacing traditional beds. Each bedroom has unique decorations based on the preferences of the occupants, ensuring comfort and ventilation.
Despite exceeding the initial budget, the total cost of completing the project was 2.3 billion VND. The homeowners are completely satisfied and love their special living space.
The experience gained from designing this project highlights the common issues faced in typical row houses, such as limited space and lack of ventilation. Lam structures at the front façade can help mitigate these issues by providing shade and ventilation.
Overall, the unique design and thoughtful features of this house make it a delightful and refreshing living space that the homeowners truly cherish.
