On the afternoon of February 27, the Traffic Police Department continued to investigate a traffic accident that occurred at Km48+100 (branch road 01 junction with the bypass road Huế) on the Cam Lộ – La Sơn Highway, in the area of Hương Thọ commune, Huế city, Thừa Thiên Huế province.
At 14:10 on February 27, a tractor with license plate 92H-007.14 towing trailer 92R-005.56 (driver’s identity unknown) was traveling from north to south and caused the accident at the location.
At the scene, the front part of the tractor overturned, hitting a barrier, causing traffic on the right lane of the branch road 01 to be blocked.
The accident did not cause injuries but damaged 1 post and 2 barrier panels, as well as the tractor.
After the traffic accident, the La Sơn – Túy Loan Road Management Unit, in coordination with the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security), the Office of Road Management II.5, and the local authorities, resolved the situation and ensured traffic flow.
According to authorities, at the time of the accident, the road section had adequate traffic safety signs and smooth road conditions.
Earlier on February 18, at km 48+200m on the Cam Lộ – La Sơn Highway, a serious traffic accident occurred, resulting in the deaths of 3 mother and child from Thanh Hóa.
